One Golden Thread (OGT) is a mission-driven, eCommerce-native apparel brand focused on sustainable luxury. While we’ve built a strong direct-to-consumer business, we see a significant opportunity to expand into physical retail—both through our own experiential retail locations and potential wholesale or retail partnerships. The challenge lies in crafting a data-backed, scalable retail expansion strategy that aligns with our brand ethos, customer experience, and financial goals. 
Project Synopsis: Activities/Actions Required
• Competitive analysis of retail expansion strategies among similar apparel and lifestyle brands 
• Customer segmentation and behavioral analysis to identify ideal markets for retail expansion 
• Financial modeling and ROI analysis for pop-up, flagship, and wholesale retail formats 
• Market research to evaluate top metro areas aligned with our customer base and brand values 
• Channel strategy development (e.g., own retail vs. partnerships vs. shop-in-shop) 
• Go-to-market roadmap and suggested KPI framework for performance tracking 
Project Synopsis: Expected Results
Success would be defined by the development of a clear, actionable, and financially sound retail expansion strategy that we can pilot within the next 6–12 months. Measurable results would include: 
• A prioritized list of 3–5 potential markets for physical retail expansion 
• A financial pro forma and break-even analysis for 1–2 retail formats 
• A strategic roadmap and playbook that we can present to potential partners or investors 
• Alignment between our brand mission and the proposed customer-facing retail experiences
