Project Overview

Project Details
Project Title The Future Of Cap Source's Product & E Commerce Strategy
Project Synopsis

What is the challenge or opportunity you are trying to address within your organization?

CapSource offers CapSource CONNECT as an experiential learning management system for educators and their institutions. The goal of the technology is to make it easier for institutions to track collaborations with key industry partners.

In order to help institutions better meet the need of their educators and students, CapSource has offered premium platform administrators the ability to customize certain elements of the platform, including branding, styles, active modules, topics, and templates.

What are some of the activities or action items you think will need to be taken to achieve your desired results?

We need help researching pricing models for similar experiential learning companies (Riipen, Praxis, EduSourced, PeopleGrove), LMS companies (Blackboard, Canvas, D2L), career center technologies (Handshake, Parker Dewey, uConnect)

What would make this project a success for your organization? What measurable results are you looking to accomplish?

We are looking for you to cover four key elements in both your 15-minute final presentation (+10-minute Q&A) as well as your 5-page written memo (+appendix):

#1 - Identify the key experiential learning features that academic partners need the most that they're willing to pay for.

#2 - Suggest the monetization model that can be easily implemented via e-commerce, including the pricing and configurations that would need to be available.

#3 - Develop a financial model of how this pricing could scale over the next 1-5 years in order to become a sustainable business.

#4 - Highlight the ideal customer based on your suggested e-commerce model and how you would suggest reaching them so we can get them started!
