About
I grew up in a family dedicated to saving people’s lives by pulling them out of burning buildings (firefighters), stabilizing them until they reached the hospital (paramedics), and providing immediate support upon arrival to the ER to minimize long-term negative effects (ER nurse). They are all committed to helping people in the medical field. I have long admired their efforts and want to follow in their footsteps. However, the blood, sweat and tears I have observed, both from providers and patients, is not my forte. I knew early on that I wanted to be a helper, too, but needed to find a different outlet.
In high school, I enjoyed my accounting classes and so I decided to pursue a Finance degree at Culver-Stockton College. I am in the right place! Through my classes and internship experiences, I have discovered that I am fulfilled by helping people achieve their personal and business financial goals. An added benefit - it’s much less gory!
During my internship experience, I gained real-world experience in the banking and finance industry, reinforcing my current career goals. I was involved in processing and underwriting commercial construction and real estate loans, as well as new residential construction builds. I have completed macroeconomic market research and analysis identifying current trends in relation to risk and profitability.
As I wrap up my college career, I am really excited about getting into the consumer lending space in the banking industry. I mostly look forward to helping people finance their dreams by building meaningful relationships (in a much less stressful setting than healthcare).
